Dukes of Hazzard’ star Tom Wopat shares spotlight with hot cars and motorcycles at
O’Reilly Auto Parts Rod & Custom Car Show Feb. 21-22 in Monticello, Iow

A winter tradition in the Midwest, the KCRG TV9 Presents the O’Reilly Auto Parts Rod & Custom Car Show once again will bring together family entertainment along with vintage and custom vehicles to Monticello, Iowa, Feb. 21-22.

The 46th annual event will feature appearances by actor and singer Tom Wopat, best known for playing strapping good ole boy Luke Duke on the CBS series “Dukes of Hazzard” from 1979-1985. After his TV success Wopat returned to his first love, music, starring in Broadway and regional stage musicals and recording country music and standards. Wopat was nominated for Broadway's 1999 Tony Award as best actor in a musical for a revival of “Annie Get Your Gun.” Tom continued working on the New York stage with roles in “42nd Street,” “Chicago,” “Glengarry Glen Ross” and most recently completed a 33-city “Over the Rainbow” tour with Faith Prince featuring songs by Harold Arlen.

Tom Wopat will sign autographs and pose for photos Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Once again this annual winter event will be held at the Monticello Berndes Center, 766 North Maple Street in Monticello only 35 miles from Cedar Rapids or Dubuque on U.S. Highway 151.
